I have really enjoyed my Mitchell Home over the past year. It’s hard to imagine what it will look like when you’re in the planning stage, but my house turned out so nice. For the size house I built (1070 square feet Danville plan) the kitchen is generously spacious in my estimation and the house is very livable. I added in a wood stove and have thoroughly enjoyed that. I’m glad I built it on a slope so that the one end is a bit elevated and gives me a nice view of the trees at the back of my property. There are always some twists and turns when embarking on a big project like this but mostly it felt like a seamless process. What I appreciated the most and felt this from the beginning, was that Mitchell Homes wants to do a good job. Scott said to meet at the beginning that the house would be done well and it would be a professional job. That is the feeling I got from the beginning with Mitchell Homes, that they are professionals and are doing their best to build a good home for their customers at a reasonable price. Overall, our experience with MH was great. What we wanted was for someone to handle every aspect of our house build so we would not need to worry about any of it. That is exactly what you did. The floorplan and elevation are great! Neighbors, family, and friends love it! The buying options with such ' no down payment' to get the process started was absolutely wonderful! Mitchell Homes and VA credit union worked together to provide options so that we could move forward with building our first home. Overall, working with Mitchell Homes was a great experience to build our first home! We would definitely recommend this builder to others wanting to build a custom home. We are so thankful to them for saving us time, money, headache, and the heartbreaking difficulty we had with our first builder that left us in the hole and in a major bind trying to build and move on. They truly saved us all this and more with their no-money-down contract option. If it weren't for that, I wouldn't be sitting in the comfort of our beautiful Mitchell Home writing this. They even worked around my beloved dogwoods in the front yard!

Did the whole process go seamlessly without a hitch? No, of course not, does life really? We didn't expect it to. Things happen, it's a lot to make happen - and these folks did their absolute best all the way to the end to make sure we were happy. Even when we ran into normal issues you might run into with any builder, Mr. Sleeme himself stood behind the work being done and made sure they came through for us. It has all been so worth it in the end!

We truly consider ourselves extremely fortunate to have been able to work with Mitchell Homes and can honestly say, Mitchell Homes is a place we are proud to recommend to friends and family!
